BREST, 28 July (BelTA) – Brest State Technical University has signed a cooperation agreement with the Agricultural University of Tajikistan. The signing ceremony took place during a meeting of the Belarus-Tajikistan intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation,

The agreements were signed by Rector of Brest State Technical University Andrei Parfiyevich and Rector of Agricultural University of Tajikistan Usmon Mahmadyorzoda. The universities intend to establish student and faculty exchanges to implement undergraduate, master’s, and postgraduate programs, as well as internships and practical training. The institutions are also interested in jointly developing educational programs and training research personnel.
One of the priorities of cooperation is the creation of joint research teams for studies, grants, and dissertation defenses. The Belarusian and Tajik universities aim to conduct joint events and exchange information on programs and academic documents.
“This agreement opens new horizons for the joint development of education and science, marking an important step towards strengthening friendly ties and mutually beneficial cooperation between Belarus and Tajikistan,” Brest State Technical University concluded.
The meeting of the intergovernmental commission was held in Brest on 28 July. The participants discussed the current state and development prospects of trade, economic, investment, and interregional cooperation, as well as interaction in industrial cooperation across various sectors of the economy and the social welfare. Following the meeting, an action plan for cooperation between Belarus and Tajikistan was signed, serving as a roadmap for 2027–2031.
