The regional competition for the title «The Best Businessman of the Year» is hold in the Brest region in seventh time. As winners of regional competition for last years have been recognized chiefs of 229 subjects of small business.
The regional competition is preceded by similar district and municipal competitions.
In the competition can take part legal entities and individual businessmen. It is necessary for this purpose to present the application form for participation to local Executive Committee or Department of Entrepreneurship of Economics Committee of the regional Executive Committee.
The competition is held on 19 nominations:

- The best businessman in sphere of food stuffs production.
- The best businessman in sphere of production of goods of industrial purpose.
- The best businessman in sphere of building activity.
- The best businessman in sphere of public catering.
- The best businessman in sphere of trade.
- The best businessman in sphere of medical activity.
- The best businessman - organization with foreign investments.
- The best farmer’s economy.
- The best businessman in sphere of service rendering.
- The best businessman in sphere of service rendering in a countryside.
- The best businessman in sphere of tourist activity.
- The best businessman in sphere of roadside service development.
- The best businessman in sphere of rendering of sport-improving services.
- The best businessman - an exporter.
- The best businessman - an organizer of new workplaces.
- The best businessman - a patron of art.
- The best businessman - support business centre.
- The best businessman among youth.
In each nomination as a winner is recognized the subject of business having the best indices of industrial - economic activities.
At once a creative competition «The Best Interpretation and Propaganda of Entrepreneurship Activity in Mass Media» is spent annually.
