In response to the critical demand of the FEZ "Brest" for free areas for placement of new manufactures, in accordance with Resolution of the Council of Ministers No. 1796 of 12 December 2001 "On Adjustment of the Borders of the Free Economic Zone ‘Brest’" the territories of five enterprises of Brest were included additionally in its territory:
- Republican unitary production enterprise "Brest Electric Bulb Factory";
- Open joint stock company "Brest Radio Engineering Factory";
- Republican unitary production enterprise "’Tsvetotron’ Factory";
- Republican unitary production enterprise "Brest Machine Building Factory";
- Open joint stock company "Brest Electromechanical Factory".
At present, these enterprises have a lot of unused areas with a well-developed production and engineering infrastructure, offered for placement of residents of the FEZ "Brest" (for the implementation of joint investment projects or for renting).
Republican unitary production enterprise "Brest Electric Bulb Factory"

At present, the factory is mainly specialised in manufacturing electric bulbs, including bulbs of general purpose, autobulbs, halogen lamps, midget lamps and switchboard lamps.
The factory consists of five principal workshops and eight auxiliary workshops.
A number of investment projects are in development at the factory for the organisation of the manufacture of blown diffusers, household lamps, automobile halogen bulbs, and energy-saving light sources (reflector lamps, sodium lamps and compact luminescent lamps).
Republican unitary production enterprise "Brest Electric Bulb Factory" is planning to offer the following production areas for the implementation of joint investment projects:
- Blown diffusers section - production space 1980 sq. m (a detached 2-storeyed building with all communications);
- Some sections of the laboratory building - production space 2225 sq. m (5- and 6-storeyed buildings with options of their use for the location of production premises as well as for offices);
- production building No. 2 - production space 10044 sq. m (a detached building which is used at present as a warehouse, with a possibility of connecting all engineering communications and re-designing for any manufacture.
The estimated rent is USD 2.5 per 1 sq. m for production premises, and USD 6 per 1 sq. m for office rooms.

- manufacture of articles of technical purpose (chargers, transport loudspeakers, train broadcasting systems);
- manufacture of consumer goods (electric ranges, electric heating pads, radio sets, button switches);
- manufacture of PCs and modules.

At present, the enterprise manufactures the following products:
- agricultural equipment (pneumatic seeding machines, seeding units);
- instruments for commercial accounting of energy resources (electricity supply meters and gas supply meters);
- medical equipment (for ultra-sound diagnostics);
- electric household appliances with electric micromotors (irons, mixers, kitchen machines).
Technical potential of the enterprise:
- casting under pressure (plastics and non-ferrous metals);
- mechanic treatment of non-ferrous and ferrous metals;
- manufacture of multilayer printed circuit boards;
- galvanisation.
At the present time, a project is in development for the creation of a joint venture manufacturing electricity supply meters.
The enterprise is offering the following areas for rent:
- head area - 25700 sq. m;
- area No. 2 in the village of Ploska - 6500 sq. m.
