Informational Internet-site www.brest-lublin.info is created in the framework of international technical assistance project “Uniform information system of interaction of the population and authorities of cross-border region Brest-Lublin”, financed from funds of Neighborhood Programme “Poland-Belarus-Ukraine” INTERREG III A/NACIS 2004-2006.

The Project is being realized by Brest cross-border infocentre, department of Brest Regional Municipal Unitary Enterprise “Centre of Inculcation of Scientific and Technical Researches”, Brest State Technical University, Brest region executive committee (Brest, Belarus) and House of Europe (Lublin, Poland)

The main aim of the project is to inform citizens of Brest border regions ( Belarus ) and Lublin province ( Poland ) about opportunities of cross-border cooperation.

For neighboring countries constructive exchange of information is a base for prosperous neighborhood relations, effective cooperation and interpersonal relations and mutual understanding.

Creation of the informational system, comprising information about state and public organizations, border crossing procedures, legal aspects of doing business, protection of citizens' legal rights both in Poland and in Belarus, will, for sure, intensify and improve the quality of Polish-Belarusian cooperation.

Project realization will improve informational cooperation between Brest region and Lublin province in the scope of cross-border consolidation and Euroregion Bug, which will result in communication intensification between citizens of border regions, development of partnership-based relations in various spheres between these regions. And, in its tern, it will lead to amplification of projects number, projects that will be implemented by both Polish and Belarusian organizations.

Informational system is being presented as an Internet-site ( www.brest-lublin.info ), printed registers and data marts. Data marts installed in public places astride the border.
