Belarus, Vietnam aim to step up military cooperation

MINSK, 1 September (BelTA) – Major General Leonid Kasinsky, Assistant to the Belarusian Defense Minister for Ideological Work in the Armed Forces - Head of the Main Department of Ideological Work, met with General Phan Van Giang, Minister of National Defense of Vietnam, during his visit to the country, Belarus’ Defense Ministry told BelTA.

The parties reaffirmed their commitment to the chosen course of bilateral cooperation and expressed confidence that this visit would contribute to the further development of military cooperation and to strengthening friendship and mutual understanding between the two states.

The head of the Belarusian delegation also congratulated the Vietnamese minister on the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
