Belarusian government reviews four-month performance of construction sector

MINSK, 21 May (BelTA) - Belarusian Prime Minister Aleksandr Turchin held an operational meeting on the situation in the construction sector based on the results of four months, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian government.

The meeting was attended by heads of the appropriate government agencies. Deputy chairmen of regional executive committees and the Minsk City Executive Committee joined the discussion via video link to conduct a detailed analysis of the situation on the ground in real time.

All regions of the country and the Architecture and Construction Ministry have been tasked with ensuring positive dynamics in the construction sector and meeting the targets. Also on the agenda was the status of the state programs and the utilization of the budget funds allocated for financing the construction of facilities.

The architecture and construction minister has been instructed to take personal control of the construction situation in the regions.

The prime minister sternly warned the minister and deputy heads of the regions that if there is no significant positive progress based on the results of five months, the government will take appropriate personnel decisions.
